Experience & Research
Who we are
Spazio Ampio was founded in Rome in 2014 by Paolo Chiari and Pepita Cianfoni. After over twenty years of experience within the Linn-Sui project, with offices in Rome and other major Italian cities, a new approach has taken shape: more personal, essential, and thoughtful, it has established itself as a place of research and selection dedicated to the great masters of 20th-century design. Each piece is chosen for its historical and cultural value, with particular attention to authenticity and state of preservation. In a context dominated by overexposure and often inaccurate information, Spazio Ampio favors a critical and expert perspective, grounded in firsthand experience and in-depth knowledge.

Method
Alongside research and selection, Spazio Ampio also offers restoration and refurbishment services that restore value to furnishings while fully respecting their original identity. Armchairs, chairs, and sofas are restored through targeted interventions on upholstery and structures, using materials and workmanship consistent with the original design. Fabrics are sourced from a careful selection of national and international manufacturers, chosen for their quality, research, and stylistic continuity, ensuring long-lasting restorations that remain faithful to the spirit of the furnishings.

Balance between form and practicality
Our selection doesn't follow trends, but rather a precise method. Lines, materials, and proportions are evaluated in relation to the space, function, and other furnishings present. For us, design isn't an aesthetic exercise, but a balance between form, use, and durability.
